The Story

Behind Adamx

I make YouTube videos about PC optimization and built a program to automate all the tweaks I used to do by hand. Here's how that happened.

2018

Fortnite

When Fortnite was released, I started playing it and posting Fortnite clips on YouTube. But my laptop was bad and my FPS was terrible, so I was on YouTube all the time watching PC optimization tutorials and trying them on my laptop.

2019

Creating tutorials

After experimenting on my laptop, improving performance, causing other issues, and fixing those too, I got inspired by the optimization videos I used to watch and wanted to start helping people too. I started creating my own tutorials and got a lot of positive feedback and massive support from people all over the world, which motivated me even more!

2020

YT channel growth and outreach from esports pro players

My channel grew fast. 1,000 subscribers at the beginning of March then 10,000 by April and 50,000 by December. Started growing on X (formerly Twitter) too. Popular esports professionals reached out asking me to personally tweak their setups, which was surreal and amazing. I was doing all the tweaks for them manually, which was a lot of work but I loved it and it motivated me to keep going and keep improving.

2021

The Adamx Tweaking Utility

Automation became the goal: instead of optimizing Windows manually every time, I wanted to do it all with just a few clicks. Taught myself C# from scratch - no ChatGPT, no Claude, nothing like that even existed yet. Just Stack Overflow, YouTube, and GitHub. Had to figure out everything on my own over months. The first public release of the Adamx Tweaking Utility launched in April 2021.

2022

More testing, better results

I improved my testing process by testing tweaks across different setups. I kept only what gave real performance gains, and avoided any tweaks that may have caused issues or gave inconsistent results.

2023

Automated order fulfillment

Up until this point I was fulfilling orders for the Adamx Tweaking Utility manually by going on Discord at the end of each week and giving people access one by one, this wasn't scalable at all! In April I automated all of that so people could buy and get access instantly which made managing everything a lot easier and customers a lot happier!

2024

Major updates and lots of new tweaks

I added a lot of new tweaks to the utility and kept expanding what it can do. Each tweak was tested across different PCs, and I only kept what was stable and actually improved performance.

2025

Rebuild and future planning

I still shipped tweak updates, but a lot of my time went into rebuilding the app architecture so the tweaking utility can grow properly and stay solid over time. I also started planning this website and mapping out my return to YouTube.

2026

Website launch and more soon..
